A website was required to enhance the brand image and provide customers and potential customers with product and service information. The website had to offer interactive functionality such as the online presentation and the poll.
A support suite was required to be integrated in order to provide support and access to resources for existing customers and re-sellers. The integration of this functionality required process re-engineering that has improve the quality of support that Gbackup now offers to all its clients.
A management system was required in order to manage clients, re-seller, billing and reporting. Re-sellers also have access to a re-seller portal where they in turn can manage their clients and gain access to additional resources. One of the biggest challenges with the management systems was the mathematical calculations required in order to work out the billing reports based on volume discounts, reseller discounts and cumulated storage across multiple accounts for individual clients.
The project has been a great success and now forms a pivotal role in enabling Gbackup to gain a competitive advantage. Rumours have it that the work we have completed for Gbackup may be taken to market as a product for other online backup service providers.
